It’s the large white building on the corner of Thakrao Noi and Chatchai Roads though, and we certainly recommend a look. A rather dull exhibition downstairs showcases what look like primary school art projects but the permanent Lampang history exhibition upstairs is excellent. It’s very well laid out, the lighting is very professional and there are plenty of well written bilingual explanations for the exhibits, maps, photos and dioramas. Our only complaint was that it could have been a bit bigger. This is a great introduction to the history of Lampang from its founding in the seventh century up until today — what’s more entrance is free and you can take photos!
